Val and l have had a busy time organising the Ficifolia Stall where we had cakes and plants for sale. It was a good day weather wise and we sold out early afternoon. Len did his usual walk in the parade with his shaker tin.
Our dedicated ticket sellers did a great job on the Easter Egg raffles. The winners of the eggs were -

Congratulations to all the winners!
Kevin Potter from Warragul ran an article in our local newspaper, seeking volunteers for doorknocking for the Good Friday Appeal. This did help our Drouin Group as we were able to doorknock almost all of Drouin.
Jill our local bank teller counted $7886.95 on the day, from proceeds of the tins received. Great effort by all concerned.
Our own family was heavily involved. We had our two daughters and son, son in law, grand daughter, 2 grandsons in law and 7 great grandchildren. All up we had 16 of our family collecting, raising over $2,260.00. You could call it a combined effort for the Good Friday Appeal.
The Drouin Group forwarded over $11,600.00 to Head Office for the Good Friday Appeal.
We will be having a short break, as our next fundraiser will be an indoor bowls game on Sunday 30th May. Our committee will make lunch and afternoon tea for the bowlers. This function will be a fundraiser for Uncle Bobs.
This year we will have our annual meeting on a Sunday afternoon instead of the usual Wednesday night. The date is set for Sunday 12th September at the Drouin Bowling Club.
The State Annual General Meeting will be held on Sunday 10th October 2010 at the Drouin Bowling Club. Branches and Groups will be advised at a later date of the meeting procedure.
