Above is a Memorial shown on Channel 7 Good Friday Appeal. Dame Elisabeth Murdoch AC DBE, was a big part of our Wheel Barrow Push as shown in the photos on this page in her early days. Dame Elisabeth was at many starts of the Push. We have continued to recieve donations from her foundation every year because of her passion for the kids.

The Wheel Barrow Push this year was dedicated to Dame Elisabeth. Captured on Channel 7.

Message from the State President


On behalf of the State Committee, I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate you all on an outstanding effort for the 2013 Good Friday Appeal. 


A record $586,300.00 handed over to the Good Friday Appeal


The Branches, Groups and countless volunteers around Victoria did a wonderful job with collections, raffles and door knocks, with some even breaking their own records.


A big thank you to Freemasons Victoria, 7 Eleven, MFB, CFA, Videocraft and other organisations that partnered with us for this magnificent result.


These are just a few of the events I was honoured to attend this year:

  • MFB & CFA 2013 Relay
  • Start off the 43rd Penninsula Wheelbarrow Push from Sorrento to Safety Beach dedicated to the memory of Dame Elisabeth Murdoch AC DBE
  • Bethany Fisher musical performance on the concourse stage
  • Several media interviews to promote the club, it's history and activities

It was a great privilege to then present the cheque on behalf of Uncle Bobs Club at the end of the night. I look forward to celebrating with you on the club's efforts over the year.

Start off for the 2013 MFB/CFA Relay. They ran from 7am till 9pm. Raising funds for Uncle Bobs & Good Friday Appeal who appreciate all they do.




After 205 laps, they handed over a big cheque. Well done to all! A great combined effort by both the MFB & CFA.
